In keeping with our mission to be a socially responsible company, Moishe’s is Going Green. Over the next year Moishe’s will institute changes that’ll have a big impact on reducing waste and conserving energy. Moishe’s wants you to join us in celebrating life on a greener and more sustainable world!
Community Box Exchange Program
Visit www.moishesboxexchange.com for our Free, Community Box Exchange Program. Through this website, anyone can exchange re-usable boxes (whether they be cardboard or otherwise) for free. It doesn’t matter what moving company, if any, the boxes originated from. We’ve created this website to demonstrate our sincerest commitment to going Green. Please join. You’ll be saving money by using free, re-usable boxes from other community members and you’ll help save the earth as you go.
Paperless Workplace
By the end of the year, all billing will be done electronically. By offering incentives to our clients to go “paperless,” soon all of our transactions will be electronic. Paperless is great in every way: It saves space, trees, and it means even higher security for our customers.
Biodegradable, Re-Usable Boxes
Moishe’s boxes will no longer be made out of cardboard but out of eco-friendly, bio-degradable materials. Additionally, we’ll be renting out re-usable boxes that are both stackable and lightweight.
No Harmful Packing Materials
Styrofoam packing peanuts are notoriously bad for the environment, and bubble wrap is made from oil. There are bio-degradable packing pellets made from recycled disposable diapers that are just as good as the toxic packing materials people are using today. Isn’t it always the simplest solutions that are the most ingenious?
Employee Incentives for Green Living
Moishe's wants to encourage everyone around us, including our employees, to be environmentally responsible.
Environmentally Friendly Trucks
In what will be our most impressive improvement, Moishe’s trucks will soon be powered by bio-fuel. This transition will eliminate the waste of finite fossil fuels and cut back considerably on the release of harmful emissions to the environment.
