NY Cares
For the past two years, Moishe’s has partnered with NY Cares to provide
warm winter coats to thousands of New York’s most needy residents. Our
participation begins each October, when all of our customers were asked
to donate old winter coats. During December Moishe’s transforms some of
our trucks into mobile donation centers, helping the rest of the NY
Cares team to collect as many coats as possible. In addition to proving
a convenient place to donate, the trucks have also become a local
fixture advertising the Coat Drive. In addition, Moishe’s will provide
storage space for the coats collected at their trucks until they are
delivered to the New York Cares Coat Drive warehouse.

Holiday Toy Drive
New York - Moishe’s Moving Systems and KB toys, in cooperation with
Angelwish.org, have joined together this holiday season to host a toy
drive for local health care centers for children living with HIV/AIDS.
On Friday, December 10th between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Moishe’s Moving
Systems trucks will be parked in front of two KB Toys stores located at
34th St. and 6th Ave., and at Broadway and 89th St. The public is
encouraged to purchase toys at KB Toys or to bring toys from home and
load them on to the trucks. Once the trucks have been fully loaded, the
real toy drive will begin; as Moishe’s Moving Systems will deliver the
toys to the various health care centers in the Angelwish.org network in
Manhattan.
Angelwish.org was created in 1999 to provide the public with an easy
way to grant wishes to the millions of children that are living with
HIV/AIDS around the world. Infected or affected by the disease, their
opportunities for a "normal" childhood are extremely difficult. There
are over 80 healthcare centers in over 40 states in the Angelwish
network. 100% of donations made in person or online through Angelwish’s
website go directly to the recipients, the children.
Moishe’s Moving Systems is New York’s premier moving company, offering
quality service, an excellent support staff, and highly trained moving
experts. For a quarter-century, Moishe’s has participated in numerous
charitable events, raising thousands of dollars to support those who
truly need it.
In 1922, the Kaufman Brothers opened a small confectionary business
that would eventually grow into one of America’s largest toy stores. KB
Toys gives customers friendly, efficient service, superior selection
and great values. This holiday season, KB Toys represents the kind of
giving spirit that all businesses should admire. . |
